back at the beginning of may, when it felt enough like summer to spend the day at the beach.

may » the madonna
we found her everywhere in italy, even along narrow overgrown paths in the mountains.
may » san rocco
a tiny village with extraordinary views, built on cliffs far above the sea about an hour's uphill hike from camogli.
may » roses
as we walked through the hills of camogli we got to peek into all the villa gardens -
at least the ones that did not put up two meter stone walls with barbed wire at the top (!).
they were filled with all kinds of flowers - lavender, geranium, poppies, wisteria - but especially pink roses.
early in the morning, before the sun had gotten strong enough to burn away their delicate scent, was the best time of day.

we are back from italy, and it is cold in göteborg again.

a picture from the first day in march when it started to feel like spring - now though it is all of a sudden summer already:
26°, big blue skies, warm wind, bare legs, evening sunbathing, days by the ocean, cold beer, grilling -
it is hard to spend even a moment inside, and we hardly do.
